About the role As the Senior Manager – Governance, Change and Transformation you will be responsible for the maintenance and design of world class financial risk, change (regulatory, business and process) and transformation practices. Reporting to the General Manager - Finance and Tax, you will ensure that policies are designed and maintained, change is managed across the business area, process excellence is assessed, and finance processes are in line with tax and accounting standards and regulatory guidelines. You will also be responsible for continuous improvement and the formulation of associated policies and practices, strategic change, while developing and embedding new accounting and reporting functions and processes.
Key aspects of the role include: Financial & Tax Governance- Design and implement world class governance to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
- Manage internal controls and risk frameworks.
- Report financial governance metrics to senior leaders and the Board.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
Transformation Leadership- Lead finance transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and digitalisation initiatives in line with Kaizen and the ADRI model.
- Manage and oversee change programs, ensuring Finance and Tax alignment with the organisational strategy.
Strategic Planning- Develop and implement finance transformation roadmaps.
- Align financial strategies with corporate goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor industry trends.
Risk Monitoring- Oversee risk management and governance, ensuring alignment with ART’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Develop KPIs and track progress on transformation and risk management.
- Present reports to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Partner with Risk and Compliance teams and champion Finance & Tax risk.
- Monitor ICAAP, BFID, financial control, and regulatory obligations.
About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - CA/ CPA qualified.
- Extensive experience in finance, governance, or risk management within a corporate, consulting, or financial services environment.
- Experience in Superannuation, banking, insurance, consulting, corporate finance, or a regulatory body.
- Experience leading large-scale finance transformation projects, such as automation, ERP implementation, or process reengineering.
- Track record of successfully managing organisational change, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working with executives, regulators, and finance teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a high performing team.
