About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll offer financial advice and support to the Technology, Data & AI and Transformation business areas. You’ll drive monthly analysis on performance and trends, and recommend ways to boost efficiency, effectiveness, and performance.
You’ll be part of the team preparing the annual budget and forecasts, providing management with insightful commentary and analysis. By keeping a customer focus in all services, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring accurate information flow and shared knowledge within the finance area. Day to day, you'll: - Provide monthly reporting and budget variance analysis to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform high-level and detailed analysis on financial performance.
- Offer financial analysis support and prepare board-level submissions.
- Spearhead the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, offering insightful commentary and analysis.
This role is permanent opportunity, and you'll have the flexibility to work from home, provided you can attend our Brisbane office between 2-3 days a week. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Successfully monitored financial performance and delivered monthly reports within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial analyses and board-level submissions.
- Proven your ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple competing activities efficiently.
- Ensured compliance with legislative, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
- Assisted in developing annual budgets, forecasts, and statutory financial reporting for large/complex organisations.
- Possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at the senior level.
- Hold a CA/CPA qualification.
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and financial modelling.
- Experience working with in Superannuation/Financial services and with exposure to Technology stakeholders will be highly regarded.
