Business Analyst - Change Delivery

About the role

The purpose of the Change Delivery & Optimisation team is to identify, analyse and improve service delivery and experience using our technical capabilities and processes to enable our teams to best serve our customers.

 

This role will gather and analyse requirements to understand the business change opportunity and work with the business owners to determine best business solutions that are aligned to capabilities and effectively manage delivery from start-up to implementation and embedment. The key objectives of the Change Delivery & Optimisation Business Analyst is to ensure the best business solution is delivered and value adding outcomes are achieved for Australian Retirement Trust and our members.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify and quantify opportunities and problems through intelligent analysis of the business environment; demonstrate a clear understanding of business drivers, benefits and costs, whilst considering CX and service/process design.
  • Conduct detailed current state and future state process analysis to determine problems, opportunities, appropriate solutions, business and change impacts and risks. Represent business concepts using process modelling.
  • Conduct benefits analysis including the preparation and update of benefit maps, benefit realisation plans and benefit profiles.
  • Provide status reporting on business analysis activities and deliverables as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the BA and Service Optimisation Practice
  • Consult, coach and lead stakeholders across all levels in the organisation in best practice business and change analysis approaches to build business/change analysis skills and capabilities within Australian Retirement Trust.
  • Proactively keep up to date with relevant technology, trends, developments and advancements.

This role is available as a fixed-term or secondment opportunity until the end of April 2026.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Business analysis experience in a non-technical role.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Experience using Jira/Confluence for documenting, planning and tracking requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit stakeholder requirements and prepare analysis and visualisation models (e.g. BPMN, context models, User Stories, Use Cases).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse problems to identify achievable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbally and written) and stakeholder management capability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders both across IT and business, internally and externally and elicit outcomes for successful change.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously.
