Team Leader - Disclosure Compliance

About the role

As Team Leader – Disclosure Compliance, you’ll lead a team to deliver high-quality, compliant disclosure and marketing materials. You’ll oversee regulatory requirements, manage key document reviews, and work with stakeholders to ensure marketing materials meet compliance standards. This role is central to maintaining ART’s regulatory obligations, strengthening risk culture, and driving ongoing improvements in compliance.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Lead and mentor a team responsible for the review and management of Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), Annual Statements, Annual Reports, and other regulatory documents, in line with ART’s Document Due Diligence Program.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex disclosure matters and act as the primary escalation point for regulatory issues.
  • Oversee compliance for promotional campaigns and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with disclosure documents and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain and enhance marketing compliance frameworks, including guidelines, templates, and approval processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, legal, and external advisors on document development and updates.
  • Deliver compliance training to marketing teams, promoting best practice and regulatory awareness.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and lead implementation of required updates across disclosure and marketing materials.
  • Support the Due Diligence Committee, ensuring effective governance and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team capability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports and performance metrics to senior leadership.
  • Oversee internal and external audits, maintaining compliance registers and tracking systems.

 

This role is a permanent opportunity.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • You have a proven ability to lead, manage, and develop teams, motivating and supporting team members to achieve high performance and foster a positive team culture.
  • You hold tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • You have significant experience in compliance, legal, or related areas within financial services or superannuation.
  • You’re experienced in reviewing marketing and disclosure documents in the financial services sector.
  • You have a deep understanding of Australian superannuation legislation, prudential standards, and regulatory expectations.
  • You’re skilled at engaging stakeholders and influencing at senior levels.
  • You bring a background in marketing compliance within regulated entities.
  • Your written and verbal communication skills are excellent, and you pay strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You’re able to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical guidance.
  • You demonstrate commercial awareness and understand business strategy.
  • Your analytical and problem-solving capabilities are strong.
