As Business Manager – ART Life, you’ll partner closely with the CEO and ART Life Leadership Team to turn strategy into action. You’ll operate at the intersection of governance, operations and executive decision‑making — ensuring the right information, priorities and people come together at the right time. This is a highly trusted role where your judgement, influence and ability to navigate complexity will directly shape outcomes for members and the organisation. You’ll: - Act as a strategic adviser to the CEO, managing complex enquiries, priorities and executive communications
- Plan and deliver high‑impact initiatives aligned to ART and ART Life’s strategic objectives
- Enable effective governance by coordinating executive and leadership forums, including agenda curation, papers and action tracking
- Synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights for executive and Board‑level audiences
- Foster strong collaboration across ART Life and the broader enterprise, removing barriers and enabling delivery
- Represent the CEO in key internal and external engagements where needed
- Champion a culture of purpose, inclusion and high performance, aligned to ART’s values of courage, empathy and excellence
About you You’re a trusted operator at senior levels — comfortable influencing without authority and confident navigating ambiguity. You combine strategic thinking with practical execution, and you know how to keep complex organisations moving forward. You’ll bring: - Proven experience partnering with executives to deliver strategic and operational outcomes
- Strong judgement and the ability to manage sensitive, high‑impact matters with discretion
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing Board‑ready material
- The ability to distil complexity into clear messages and priorities
- A broad, enterprise‑wide mindset with an understanding of governance, risk and organisational dynamics
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, commerce, law or a related discipline
Ideally, you’ll also have: - Experience in life insurance, superannuation or a highly regulated environment
- Exposure to member‑owned or profit‑for‑member organisations
