About the role Reporting into the General Counsel, you will support the Legal Senior Leadership Team (SLT), by providing strategic and operational support to all teams within Legal to improve efficiencies, enhance governance, reduce risk and enable the legal team to execute the Legal strategic plan and to serve their business partners more effectively by applying business and technical practices to the delivery of legal services.
Key aspects of the role include: Provide strategic planning, financial management, project management and technology portfolio investment expertise to allow the legal team and ART to effectively manage risks, monitor compliance, incorporate tech tools and deliver value to ART. Operate as an integrated and trusted business partner to the Legal team and ART by identifying opportunities for automated processes and strategically using service providers to drive efficiency (while reducing costs). Support the General Counsel as ‘business manager’ for legal, ensuring effective working relationships with legal team business partners in Technology, Finance, People & Culture and other ART teams. Oversight and management (working alongside Technology Services) of the legal team’s portfolio of technology systems, processes and available tools. Support the General Counsel to coordinate team collaboration activities. Maintain a strong and sustainable approach to financial management and managing ART’s Legal Panel.

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Bachelor of Computer Science (or equivalent) and/or Bachelor of Laws.
- Extensive experience in a Legal Operations or Technology role working in large organisational context.
- Substantive experience working with content management systems along with a deep understanding of concepts such as version control, file permissions and retention policies.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address Legal’s needs, develop relationships and define resource requirements, project workflow, budgets and billing.
