About the role

Our People Services team are seeking a motivated HR Officer (known internally as a People Officer) to join them on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. You will provide administrative support and first-line HR advice to employees and leaders at Australian Retirement Trust (ART). You will also work closely with the People Business Partnering team to assist with the delivery of HR initiatives and outcomes across the organisation.

 

Attention to detail is paramount, with a component of the role being the accurate and timely management of HRIS data and systems, and the preparation of HR documentation. A strong understanding and experience of payroll, recruitment and HRIS systems capabilities would be highly regarded for this opportunity. And of course, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus will be key to your success in this role!

 

This role is a 12 month fixed term contract based in Brisbane.

 

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Prior experience in a similar role providing HR administration and coordination in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to understand and provide advice on the application of enterprise agreements, HR legislation and internal policies
  • Exposure to operating with confidential information and exercising the highest degree of discretion
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing activities to meet business expectations and deadlines
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think laterally to devise solutions
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or studying towards this (desired, but not essential).
