As a Finance Partner – Portfolio, you will support the management and reporting of financial costs and benefits across the Enterprise Portfolio, playing a critical role in portfolio oversight and the delivery of operational efficiencies. The role partners closely with stakeholders to provide portfolio-level financial reporting, insights, and analysis, while ensuring efficient, effective, and well‑controlled financial operations that support informed decision‑making across the enterprise. Day to day, you'll: - Support the end‑to‑end portfolio reporting process, ensuring reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
- Analyse project and portfolio financial data to identify key trends and insights that support decision‑making.
- Prepare clear and concise portfolio reports that communicate progress and performance to senior and executive stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams, finance partners, and subject matter experts to gather information and align reporting to business needs.
- Maintain consistent reporting through standard templates, validate financial models, and respond to ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
This role is available as a permanent/ full-time opportunity. While our preference is for the successful candidate to be based in Brisbane, we are equally open to considering applicants located in Melbourne. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Professional accounting qualifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA ANZ), Certified Practising Accounts Australia (CPA) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in project and/or portfolio reporting or a similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and reporting requirements.
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, and influence at senior/executive management level.
- Experience in the preparation and presentation of financial and non-financial reports for senior/executive stakeholders.
- Intermediate level Excel and Word skills.
