And while they go after their goals, you can too., We're seeking a Risk Manager - Transformation to join our team at Australian Retirement Trust (ART). In this newly created permanent role, you'll provide first-line support to the Transformation function, including the General Manager Transformation and the Transformation Leadership Team (TLT).
You'll be responsible for embedding mature risk practices including pro-active risk identification and management and a proactive risk culture across all change and transformation initiatives. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and maintaining the Transformation Business Area’s risk profile, conducting proactive risk assessments, and establishing strong risk controls that evolve with changing business needs and regulatory requirements.
As a Risk Manager, you'll embody ART's values of courage, empathy, and excellence. You'll support Business Area control owners with risk, compliance, and reporting requirements, develop and deliver risk reporting and insights for executives and the ART Board, and take ownership of the Business Area Scorecard risk metrics. Additionally, you'll lead or participate in risk governance forums, oversee incident management and response, and advise Transformation leaders on risk implications, particularly delivery and delivered risk and the impact on operational risk.
Your role will also involve working closely with second and third line risk functions, acting as the Business Area Lead for audit programs, and driving a strong risk culture through leadership, guidance, and training. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. We’re looking for someone who brings: - Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and controls, particularly in a transformational change environment.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk and compliance requirements, including regulatory and governance expectations.
- Familiarity with change management, project governance and business transformation principles.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence, particularly in complex organisational structures and transformation teams.
- Proven experience in a Line 1 risk management role, ideally within transformation, change or project delivery environments.
- Experience embedding risk practices into strategic initiatives, programs or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk controls, assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in risk reporting, governance forums and risk monitoring.
- Ability to work at pace and within periods of ambiguity.
- Strong knowledge of APRA Risk Management Prudential Standards, operational risk, compliance frameworks, and control assurance processes.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business, commerce, law, risk and compliance management or related discipline is desired.
