   About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Data Governance Specialist, you’ll:    - Contribute to the development of data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and guidelines.
 - Ensure compliance with organisational data policies and procedures.
 - Collaborate with Data Partners, Product Champions, and project teams to promote adoption of data standards.
 - Develop and implement detailed processes and templates for data management strategies.
 - Facilitate ongoing improvements to data processes by adapting approaches and working practices.
 - Identify, document, and assess potential data risk events and their business impact.
 - Guide and support the data community in fulfilling their roles within the data organisation.
 - Monitor, maintain, and update documentation and templates to ensure adherence to data standards.

We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:   - Demonstrated knowledge of Data Management frameworks and practices, including Data Governance (DAMA, APRA CPG-235).
 - Experience engaging with business stakeholders and influencing positive change.
 - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
 - Experience developing and maintaining data governance documentation and templates.
 - Ability to identify and assess data risks and ensure compliance with data standards.
 - Proven ability to facilitate improvements in data processes and practices.
 - Experience supporting projects with data quality and governance requirements.
 - Relevant certification in Data Management or Information Professional (desirable).
