As the Technical Lead (Platforms), you will provide senior technical leadership to ensure ART’s technology platforms enable scalable, secure and efficient delivery across the organisation. Key responsibilities include: - Acting as the senior technical escalation point for engineering teams, partnering closely with Cloud & Infrastructure, Architecture and Security to resolve platform constraints and unblock delivery
- Driving the simplification and automation of common infrastructure services (e.g. network access, firewalls, proxies) to reduce friction and improve turnaround times for squads
- Leading the design and documentation of complex platform and infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance
- Defining and promoting clear, repeatable platform and network patterns to improve consistency and ease of adoption across engineering teams
- Supporting and evolving platform capabilities for containerised workloads and modern engineering workspaces (e.g. VDI, DevBox)
- Embedding strong observability practices, including standardised logging, metrics and tracing, to improve reliability, performance and early issue detection
- Contributing to the platform roadmap by identifying emerging technologies and product features that enhance scalability, stability and ways of working
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to foster a culture of innovation, accountability and high-quality solution design

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Extensive experience in platform, infrastructure or solution architecture roles within a medium to large, complex technology environment
- Strong capability in designing and governing solutions across cloud, on‑premises and outsourced environments
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery environments (e.g. SAFe, Scrum), including solution design and documentation
- Proven ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear options and scalable patterns for engineering teams
- Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and coaching engineers in sound architectural and design practices
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to assess design trade-offs, risks and impacts
- Highly developed communication skills, with experience engaging effectively with engineers, architects, vendors and senior stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
