As a Manager - Corporate Affairs, you will play pivotal role in shaping and communicating Australian Retirement Trust’s (ART) corporate identity, investment narrative, and reputation across all channels. You will lead a team of specialists and work closely with senior leaders, the Office of the CEO, and external stakeholders to deliver strategic, transparent, and engaging communications that support ART’s strategic goals and social impact ambitions. Day to day, you'll: - Lead and develop a high‑performing corporate affairs team.
- Deliver corporate and investment communication strategies aligned to ART’s objectives.
- Provide trusted communications advice and coaching to executives and senior leaders.
- Shape and protect ART’s corporate narrative, tone, and reputation.
- Oversee thought leadership and key publications including annual and sustainability reports.
- Translate complex investment and financial information into clear, audience‑focused content.
- Prepare spokespeople, manage media relationships, and lead crisis and issues management.
- Partner with internal teams and engage external stakeholders including regulators and media.
This role is available as a 12 - month max-term/ secondment opportunity. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Extensive experience in corporate affairs, media relations, and investment communications.
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams.
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Investments, or equivalent.
- Strong journalistic, storytelling, and copywriting skills.
- Deep understanding of financial markets and superannuation.
- Ability to simplify complex topics for varied audiences.
- Experience working with senior executives and managing reputational issues.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
