About the role The Senior Manager, Operational Resilience plays a pivotal role in strengthening ART’s ability to anticipate, respond to and recover from disruption. You’ll lead the development, maintenance and uplift of the organisation’s operational resilience framework, ensuring ART meets its regulatory obligations and continuously matures its continuity and crisis management capabilities. Working closely with senior leaders, business units and external stakeholders, you will drive strategic improvement, influence decision‑making and embed best‑practice resilience behaviours across the enterprise. This is both a strategic and hands‑on leadership role, overseeing long‑term resilience planning as well as guiding effective responses during critical incidents. You’ll be central to building organisational confidence, preparedness and performance in an increasingly complex risk environment. Key aspects of the role include: - Lead, direct and manage operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management functions across ART.
- Oversee CPS 230 compliance activities including obligation reviews, control assessments and prudential reporting.
- Develop and maintain enterprise frameworks, policies and governance documents that strengthen resilience.
- Partner with business units to identify and uplift resilience capability requirements across the organisation.
- Design and deliver strategic training on incident, crisis and business continuity management.
- Lead scenario planning and shape strategic thinking to align resilience with organisational objectives.
- Coordinate stress‑testing activities and monitor tolerances to assess enterprise readiness.
- Guide ART’s response to operational disruptions and crises through effective planning and execution.
- Build strong working relationships with regulators, auditors, senior executives and governance bodies.
- Prepare high‑quality reporting for the Executive Team, Board Sub‑Committees and the Board.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne About you - Bring extensive experience (10+ years) in operational resilience, business continuity, crisis management or related fields.
- Known for remaining calm and effective during high‑pressure or fast‑moving situations.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks, particularly APRA, ASIC and AUSTRAC standards, with the ability to embed them into practical processes.
- A strategic mindset with the confidence to influence senior leaders and challenge thinking to uplift organisational resilience.
- Skilled at turning complex risk concepts into clear, actionable frameworks, policies and guidance.
- Strong leadership experience, with a track record of guiding teams and driving cultural and operational change.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to craft high‑quality reporting for executives and boards.
- Adept at building productive relationships with business units, regulators, auditors and external partners.
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented and consistently seeking opportunities to strengthen resilience maturity.
- Comfortable working with technology‑related resilience, supported by a solid understanding of IT systems, recovery processes and operational dependencies.
