As the Senior Manager, Risk Practice & Assurance, you will lead ART’s Line 1 risk practice and assurance function. You’ll develop and embed uplifted risk practices, drive consistency across the organisation, and play a key role in delivering ART’s 2030 risk maturity ambition. The role will lead a team focused on risk practices, including training, data quality review, control assurance and data driven insights. The role maintains strong partnerships with business executives and collaborates close with key ART teams. You will be a key enabler in building the maturity needed to meet evolving regulatory expectations and support confident decision‑making across the organisation. Day to day, you'll: - Lead and mature ART’s Line 1 risk practice & assurance function and strategic plans.
- Build risk practice program including training, coaching of Line 1 risk community.
- Build and lead independent Line 1 assurance programs including data quality reviews, thematic analysis and enterprise‑level root cause reviews.
- Drive capability uplift through governance, risk, controls and incident management training.
- Establish leading measures of positive risk behaviours and strengthen risk governance practices across ART.
- Design and implement risk reporting and analytics frameworks using AI and emerging technologies.
- Influence senior stakeholders and strengthen risk culture across Line 1, Line 2 and Line 3.

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Business, Law or related discipline
- Strong understanding of the superannuation and insurance‑in‑super industry, including regulatory and compliance obligations
- Deep knowledge of enterprise and operational risk frameworks, APRA prudential standards and governance requirements
- Extensive experience across Line 1 or Line 2 risk, audit, assurance, compliance or incident management
- Proven capability in designing, implementing and uplifting Line 1 risk practices, controls and operating models
- Strong analytical skills with experience in insights generation, data quality review and risk/control assessment
- Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments while balancing BAU and transformation
- Strong communication, engagement and senior‑stakeholder influence skills
