About the role As a Regulatory Change Specialist at Australian Retirement Trust, you’ll be a key player in shaping how we respond to an ever-evolving regulatory landscape. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and implement regulatory changes that impact our business, ensuring we remain compliant and ahead of industry trends. Day to day, you'll: - Monitor and track regulatory and legislative changes affecting ART’s operations and products.
- Conduct impact assessments of new regulations and support the implementation of required changes.
- Lead horizon scanning activities to identify emerging regulatory developments and industry trends.
- Manage industry finding assessments and coordinate responses to regulator and government consultations.
- Communicate regulatory changes to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and updates.
- Support the management of regulatory licensing requirements, including AFSL obligations.
- Build effective relationships with internal teams to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Promote a culture of proactive compliance and continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing and delivering education programs on regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance and risk management processes.
About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - You have a degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field, and bring experience in regulatory change or compliance within financial services.
- You possess strong knowledge of superannuation legislation (SIS Act, Corporations Act, APRA standards, ASIC guides).
- You’re a natural problem-solver with sharp analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- You communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and verbally, and can tailor your message to a range of audiences.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and are adaptable to shifting priorities.
- You’re proactive, open-minded, and always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
- You enjoy building relationships and collaborating with colleagues across different teams.
- You have experience supporting or managing regulatory licensing requirements and understand the importance of compliance frameworks.
