About the role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Software Engineer, you’ll: 

 

  • Develop and deliver automation solutions aligned with ART’s strategic objectives.
  • Assess, analyse, document, and implement changes, including unit testing, to agreed standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve incidents, investigating root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Configure software and equipment, and support system testing for platform-specific versions.
  • Design, code, test, correct, and document moderately complex programs and scripts using agreed standards and tools.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of automation specialisms, providing advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify automation opportunities, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and documentation.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Demonstrated experience supporting and developing enterprise-grade automation solutions within UIPath (essential).
  • Strong experience with UIPath development, including Robotic Framework and Orchestrator reporting.
  • Development expertise with OCR software such as ABBYY or UiPath Document Understanding (desirable).
  • Previous experience with other RPA tools (desirable).
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in software development (.Net, VB/VBA, Python, PowerShell).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, or other scripting languages (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and query languages (SQL).
  • Experience developing within Azure Cloud environments.
  • Knowledge and experience in version control tools/concepts and automated builds (GIT preferred; SourceTree, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines).
  • Ability to identify automation opportunities and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience designing workflows and mapping processes for automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with business analysts and IT teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Solution Delivery Lifecycle methodologies (Waterfall & Agile), Release Coordination, and quality assurance processes (highly desirable).
  • Relevant industry experience designing and developing in a medium to large financial organisation (desirable).
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certificate (desirable).
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts for Intelligent Automation and understanding of Business Process Management and Process Mining (desirable).
