About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. We are looking for a dedicated Support Engineer to join our team and work closely with the Development and DevOps community. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the operational support processes that are critical to our applications. You will collaborate with DevOps Leads, Development Leads, and other Engineers to ensure our systems are efficient, reliable, and meet our KPIs. Additionally, you will play a key role in release management, working with multiple cross-functional development teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of releases.
As a Support Engineer, you will engage with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes to ensure compliance with Change, Problem, and Service Transition processes. You will be responsible for maintaining and triaging production incidents and requests in JIRA and Cherwell, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and forming strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your role will also involve enhancing Test Automation tooling and ensuring effective quality standards in our Application Deployment Pipelines. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you’ll tick some of the following boxes too: - Experience with monitoring, analytics and telemetry tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk
- Azure, IBM ACE and Apigee
- Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills
- Great communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
- An inclusive, collaborative and motivated attitude focused on solving problems
- Ability to effectively document approaches, plans, procedures and releases
- Experience in Agile Software Development teams using standard tools such as Jira.
