About the roles As a Claims Manager, you will: - Assess and manage complex life & disability claims (IP and TPD), reviewing contractual, medical, functional and occupational information to form robust decisions.
- Conduct detailed interviews and collaborate with medical professionals to build a clear understanding of conditions and return‑to‑work pathways.
- Develop and execute strategic case management plans that enable optimal, sustainable outcomes for members.
- Communicate clearly in challenging situations, balancing empathy with commercial considerations and maintaining transparency with stakeholders.
As a Senior Claims Manager, you’ll do all the above and: - Provide coaching and technical guidance to Claims Managers, lifting capability and consistency across the team.
- Lead complex/escalated files, set quality benchmarks, and role‑model sound, defensible decision‑making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, sharing insights to refine processes, member experience, and outcomes.
Both roles are permanent opportunities. About you You thrive in complexity and pace, and you bring both technical depth and emotional intelligence to every interaction. Furthermore, you have: - Extensive life insurance claims experience, with a focus on IP and/or TPD.
- Confidence with sensitive, difficult conversations, able to hold the line with professionalism and care.
- Exceptional analytical, decision‑making and organisational skills, with well‑developed written and verbal communication.
- Tertiary qualifications in allied health (or equivalent experience in claims management).
- For Senior Claims Manager: proven team coaching/mentoring experience and a track record of lifting standards across a claims function.
