- Acting as a key Line 2 partner by providing risk‑based advice on control design, resourcing and operational effectiveness
- Reviewing incidents, root cause analysis and remediation plans to drive sustainable risk outcomes
- Supporting regulatory engagements, audits and reviews with bodies such as AUSTRAC, ASIC and APRA
- Coaching and mentoring analysts, serving as an escalation point for complex matters and capability uplift
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processes, systems, policies and financial crime frameworks
About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Solid experience in financial crime investigations, analysis and fraud risk management within a financial services environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory obligations and expectations, particularly across AUSTRAC, ASIC and APRA.
- Comfort operating across both Line 1 and Line 2 environments, with the ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to translate complex risk issues into practical, actionable insights.
- Proven capability to build credibility quickly and engage effectively with senior leaders on sensitive or complex matters.
- A genuine interest in mentoring and coaching others, supporting capability uplift and team development.
