About the role

As an AI Platform Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating secure, scalable Azure cloud platforms that enable ART’s enterprise data, analytics, and AI capabilities. Working within the Data & AI function, you will help translate innovative AI ideas into production‑ready solutions that are resilient, governed, and aligned to enterprise standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Design, build, and operate enterprise‑scale Microsoft Azure cloud platforms to support data, analytics, and AI workloads.
• Design and provision end‑to‑end modern AI solutions, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), conversational AI, chatbots, and agentic AI systems.
• Deploy and support AI applications in production environments, ensuring they are secure, reliable, scalable, and cost‑
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and/or Terraform to automate the provisioning of cloud and hybrid environments.
• Design, implement, and optimise CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable and repeatable deployment of cloud and AI solutions.
• Contribute to technical architecture designs, ensuring solutions are resilient, supportable, and aligned with ART’s enterprise and security standards.
• Monitor and support cloud and AI platforms in production, resolving issues, improving performance, and reducing technical debt.
• Collaborate closely with Cloud & Infrastructure, Data Engineering, Information Security, Architecture, and business teams to continuously uplift platform capability.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

• Senior experience designing, building, and supporting enterprise‑scale cloud and data platforms on Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure, networking, security, and platform services.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying end‑to‑end modern AI solutions, such as RAG architectures, conversational AI, chatbots, and agentic AI.
• Proven experience deploying AI applications into production environments and supporting them operationally.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using Bicep and/or Terraform in enterprise settings.
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, including the design and operation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience contributing to technical architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and supportable.
• Understanding of governance, risk, and security considerations within medium to large corporate or regulated environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical teams, architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
