About the role As an Operational Resilience Advisor, you’ll play a key role in strengthening Australian Retirement Trust’s ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruption. Working within the Risk Enablement team, you’ll support the delivery and ongoing maturity of ART’s operational resilience capability across the organisation. This role offers broad exposure to business continuity, crisis management and APRA CPS230 implementation in a complex, member‑focused environment. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to embed sustainable, practical resilience practices. It’s an opportunity to make a real impact by helping protect member outcomes when it matters most. Key aspects of the role include: - Supporting the delivery of ART’s operational resilience strategy and framework
- Contributing to the embedment of CPS230 Operational Risk Management requirements
- Coordinating business continuity activities, including BIAs, BCP reviews and testing
- Partnering with business units to strengthen resilience across critical operations
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of resilience governance documents
- Providing subject‑matter advice on disruption, continuity and crisis risk mitigation
- Supporting resilience testing, exercises and scenario activities across the enterprise
- Contributing to executive, committee and board reporting on resilience matters
- Monitoring emerging disruption and crisis risks and supporting proactive responses
About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Demonstrated experience in operational resilience, business continuity and/or crisis management
- A solid understanding of operational risk management, with exposure to APRA CPS230 or similar regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders to embed practical, sustainable resilience practices
- Experience supporting Business Impact Assessments, Business Continuity Plans and testing activities
- Strong capability in providing pragmatic, risk‑based advice to minimise disruption and continuity risk
- Ability to remain calm, adaptable and effective in fast‑paced or ambiguous environments
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, including experience contributing to governance or executive reporting
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a collaborative and solutions‑focused approach
