About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As an Advice Technical Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening the quality, consistency and effectiveness of financial advice delivered to Australian Retirement Trust members. As the technical expert across advice, systems and legislation, you’ll support advisers, influence projects, and help evolve the tools and processes that underpin great advice outcomes. This is a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of advice, technology and continuous improvement, and who thrives on being a trusted subject matter expert.
Day to day, you'll: - Act as a technical subject matter expert for advice projects, systems and initiatives.
- Support internal and external advisers with technical and technology-based guidance, including escalations.
- Partner with IT, vendors and internal stakeholders to improve advice systems and tools.
- Review and enhance policies, procedures and templates to drive efficiency and quality.
- Assess adviser capability and compliance in the use of financial modelling and advice software.
- Analyse legislative changes and translate them into practical advice impacts.
- Design and deliver training and learning sessions (face-to-face and remote).
- Contribute to complaint and incident resolution with a focus on better member outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement across advice processes and technology.

- You’re comfortable managing competing priorities, anticipating issues and meeting agreed timeframes in a fast‑moving environment.
