About the role

Every one of our team contributes to helping make our members’ world better. As a People Business Partner within our People and Culture team, you will play a vital role in enabling our organisation to deliver for our members. In this 12-month max term role, you’ll coach and guide leaders on people practices including performance management, talent development, organisational design and restructuring, and remuneration and reward. You will work proactively with leaders across Australian Retirement Trust to provide critical insights and recommendations for People initiatives and interventions, to help drive a high-performance culture and build people capability.

 

Operating as a trusted partner to your dedicated portfolio, a typical day may include:

  • Working with Executives to provide strategic advice on all people-related matters
  • Offering guidance to Leaders on employment relations matters including conducting investigations, preparing recommendations, and managing business risk through applying considered judgment and decision-making
  • Driving and facilitating change initiatives including organisational design and alignment activity and supporting with associated communications and change management.

This position is available as an initial 12-month max-term/secondment opportunity due to parental leave. 

We are flexible with location and would consider candidates based in Brisbane or Sydney.

About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:

  • Experience in a HR Generalist role with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal processes and procedures, and provide accurate and timely advice to stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience providing expert advice relating to ER / IR matters with contemporary knowledge of ER / IR legislation and policy
  • Proven ability to coach leaders in a broad range of people matters including performance management, employee relations, talent management, remuneration and organisational design
  • Confidence handling complex and ambiguous matters, with the ability to bring clarity, and support others through change
  • Strong consultancy skills and sophisticated interpersonal / negotiation skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business
  • Experience in financial services would be an advantage, as would prior experience supporting Enterprise Agreement harmonisation
  • Prior experience supporting fast-paced, frontline business areas would be advantageous.
