About the role

As a Data Science Insights and Reporting Lead, you're responsible for a small team of analysts within the Insurance Solutions and Insights (ISI) business unit. ISI is part of ART Life and provides product design, actuarial and data services for ART Life Insurance.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Lead the capture, prioritisation, planning and delivery of ad hoc data extracts, dashboards, insights and machine learning models to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Lead the analysis of ART Life insurance data to provide stakeholders with data insights including explanatory commentary, data visualisation and recommendations.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of data science and reporting projects from inception to completion.
  • Define and embed procedures within the team to align with organisational data governance and risk management standards.

 

About you

You seamlessly blend technical expertise with strategic thinking. You possess a deep understanding of data analytics and visualisation tools which enables you to transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. With exceptional leadership skills, you inspire and mentor your team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Your strong communication skills allow you to effectively convey data-driven stories to stakeholders, driving informed decision-making. You're adaptable and forward-thinking, always staying ahead of industry trends to ensure the organisation remains competitive and data-savvy.

  • You have extensive technical leadership experience in a complex environment for a medium sized organisation in a data related discipline (Reporting / Analytics / Data
    Warehouse / B I/ Data Science / Actuarial).
  • You have demonstrated skills in data science, reporting and analytics technologies,
    including SQL, Power BI/Tableau, R and/or Python.
  • You have demonstrated experience in managing the technical delivery of data science and reporting projects.
  • You have a good understanding of data warehousing and data modelling.
