About the role

As the Senior Manager - Finance Business Partnering, you will be lead and develop a team of finance business partners, working closely with key stakeholders across the enterprise. A key focus will be leading the execution of the Commercial Performance Framework (CPF) that enables outstanding in year financial results for Australian Retirement Trust (ART). You will be responsible for ensuring the commercial outcomes of ART, always prioritising members best financial interests.

 

You will build and maintain relationships with your key stakeholders, providing them with accurate, timely and relevant information. Additionally, you will make sure knowledge is shared and enhanced within and across the broader Finance & Strategy team.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Contribute to and execute the bespoke Commercial Performance Framework (CPF): Bring together accurate revenue forecasts, cost discipline, and strategic funding requests to deliver the enterprise strategy. Align the current Benefits Realisation framework with this model.
  • Provide thought leadership and collaborate with Business Area leaders: Identify opportunities to achieve strategic outcomes and improve business performance while supporting risk and financial management objectives.
  • Support and advise on new investment opportunities: Conduct financial modelling, business case reviews, and benefits analysis.
  • Contribute to various projects and initiatives: This includes pricing analysis, competitor benchmarking, activity-based costing simulations, third-party service provider fees and commercial constructs, compliance reporting (assisting in the end-of-year financial reporting), and project or program reporting and analysis.
  • Build a high performing, empowered, and engaged team: Ensure the team is connected to ART's purpose, strategy, and culture, and build capability for today and the future.
  • Ensure timely and meaningful reporting and insights: Track progress against key priorities.
  • Support cost management: Help manage costs in line with the budget to balance effectiveness and efficiency in the Members' Best Financial Interest.

This role is available as a permanent opportunity. 

 

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Professional accounting qualifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA ANZ), Certified Practising Accounts Australia (CPA) or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge and extended experience in the financial services industry.
  • Advanced financial modelling skills including knowledge of internal and external reporting best practices, key performance indicators and benchmarks.
  • Experience in driving the analysis, monitoring and realisation of operational efficiencies across large and complex organisations with multiple stakeholders including consideration of the financial and non-financial impacts.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with proven experience in drawing together multiple parts of a business to deliver a cohesive outcome.
  • Demonstrated outstanding written and oral communication skills and influencing skills at senior/executive management level.
  • Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of financial and non-financial reports for Executive and senior stakeholders and industry bodies / regulators as required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high performing teams in a dynamic environment.
