About the role Based within the Investment Operations and Performance team and reporting to the Capital Markets Support Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of trade and middle office support to Australian Retirement Trust's (ART's) Capital Markets team. You will also have the chance to contribute to the growth and ongoing operations of the Capital Markets team. You'll ensure the smooth running of daily activities, provide oversight, and solve complex issues. You'll also collaborate with the broader business to implement decisions made by the Investments team. Key accountabilities of the role include: - Stakeholder Management: Ensure efficient and accurate capital markets trading by managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Governance: Maintain data integrity and accuracy in the Portfolio Management System.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Governance Documentation: Update management guidelines and procedures to maintain strong governance.
- System Testing: Design, prepare, test, and execute system tests to meet business requirements.
- Service Delivery: Provide regular reporting and address queries promptly and professionally.
- Audit Liaison: Work with auditors to ensure accurate and complete findings.
- Onboarding Support: Support the onboarding of new investments and investment managers within agreed timeframes.
- Project Management: Provide technical input and manage business projects with a focus on outcomes.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs, provide feedback, coaching, and support to team members.

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - A relevant qualification in finance, mathematics, business, commerce, or economics.
- Experience in investment operations or fund accounting roles, including investment accounting and/or trading systems, particularly derivatives and money markets.
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange, Physical, Over-the-Counter and Listed Derivative instruments, particularly in relation to their usage within portfolio management, and their underlying mechanics (transaction life cycle and valuation methodologies).
- Advanced technology skills (i.e. advanced spreadsheeting, high degree of familiarity with systems integration, relational databases, and automated workflow concepts), including the ability to specify and prototype business requirements and processes (e.g. data flow diagrams).
- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrated solid skills in stakeholder management and developing trusted and enduring relationships with business clients.
