About the role

As the Senior Manager - Finance and Tax, Systems and Reporting you will oversee the development, maintenance, management, and implementation of Finance and Tax technology, data strategies, roadmaps, automation reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will drive alignment and improvement for all Finance and Tax platforms/systems, services and vendors ensuring they effectively enable the delivery of financial data and regulatory reporting.

 

Key aspects of the role include:

 

Finance Technology & Systems Management

  • Manage financial technology platforms and integrate with enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to enhance system functionality and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee configuration, development, vendor relationships, and continuous improvements.
  • Risk management and governance oversight, including 1st line risk responsibility.
  • Change management and system testing.

Data Management, Reporting & Analytics

  • Implement data strategies, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Lead data governance including the use of Power BI tools for reporting.
  • Compile ESG and climate data.
  • Improve data quality and automation in financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting.

AI & Automation in Finance

  • Identify and implement AI-driven financial forecasting and automation.
  • Develop AI models for risk assessments and financial optimisation.
  • Drive process automation in finance operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

  • Align technology strategies between finance, IT, and business leadership.
  • Ensure financial systems support business goals.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Recommend and implement emerging technology solutions.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives.

Leadership

  • Manage a high-performing team and foster a strong team culture.
  • Maintain relationships with enablement teams and vendors.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Financial Systems and Data Skills.
  • AI knowledge.
  • Relevant superannuation business experience, regulatory reporting, tax and accounting experience.
  • Project Management and agile software implementation.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and process development/improvement skills.
  • The ability to think strategically with a commercial focus and respond to emerging issues and develop appropriate strategies and plans.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a high performing team.
  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate in writing and verbally.
