About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Claims Manager, you’ll provide professional claims management services to members, relating to life and disability insurance claims. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive in-house training program that equips you with essential claims management skills and knowledge, while also fostering the development of innovative claims strategies. Day to day, you'll: - Assess claims for the benefit entitlement by reviewing contractual, medical, functional and
occupational information. - Conduct functional telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure complete
understanding of the illness/injury and absence from work and types of support required to assist with return-to-work planning. - Develop and maintain outcome focused case management plans to assist members return to work.
About you You'll combine analytical skills with empathy and integrity. Your strong communication skills are essential for liaising with members and medical professionals, providing clear explanations and maintaining a customer centric approach. - You have well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- You have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in an Allied health / Customer Service role.
- You're able to work in a complex and changing environment.
- You have a high level of critical thinking and organisational skills with strong attention to detail to make fair well-informed decisions.
- You balance our members needs with an empathetic yet commercial approach, ensuring trust and transparency in the claims process.
