About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As the Manager - Members Risk, you’ll provide strategic and operational first line risk management support to the Chief Member Experience Officer (CMXO) and the Members Leadership team (MLT). Your role will drive the uplift and increased maturity of first line risk management practices and culture for the Members business area. Day to day, you'll: - Enhance Line 1 risk management functions across Members.
- Embed learnings from reviews into risk uplift initiatives.
- Support the CMXO with regular risk management obligations.
- Align business unit risk activities with the Risk Management Framework.
- Promote adherence to the Group’s risk management artefacts.
- Improve awareness of key risks and risk culture.
- Develop and deliver reporting for the CMXO, MLT, Board, and other stakeholders.
- Act as the link between Group Risk and Compliance and Members.
- Lead audit programs, regulatory reviews, and assurance activities.
- Assess and minimise the impact of change activities on the Members risk profile.
- Represent the Members business area in enterprise operating requirements.
This role is a permanent opportunity. Ideally, we'd like this role to be based in Brisbane, but we're happy to consider candidates in Sydney too. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - You have senior leadership experience within Line 1 risk functions, preferably within the financial services, superannuation, or financial advice industry.
- You'll bring highly developed strategic thinking capability and commercial skills with the ability to develop and implement plans to achieve outcomes.
- Your experience in leadership and management of a team includes performance management, change management, recruitment, and employee engagement.
- You're equipped with strong communication skills operating at multiple levels in an organisation, with the ability to present both orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders.
- You have demonstrated experience in influencing and leading change.
- You'll use your strong interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels across the organisation.
- Your proficiency with Microsoft applications and other technology software (e.g., Archer) is essential.
