About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As the Manager – Events, you'll be responsible for developing and driving a unified enterprise events strategy. Your goal will be to ensure alignment across the business to maximise impact and investments. With a focus on exceptional execution, you'll oversee the delivery of events programs. You'll leverage new technology to enhance event efficiency, engagement, and experience. Plus, you'll maintain a strong emphasis on post-implementation review and measurement. You'll lead Members Best Financial Interests governance for events, continuously enhancing processes and driving maturity in how events are evaluated, activated, and measured. Day to day, you'll: - Develop and drive the Enterprise Events strategy and Annual Events Plan that aligns with business objectives and audience needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, industry partners, and key influencers.
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate events initiatives into broader marketing campaigns, member engagement strategies, educational campaigns, and corporate social responsibility programs.
- Develop and oversee events management, ensuring seamless execution and optimal ROI.
- Ensure that the value of the events activity is recognised, and events outcomes are reported on, connecting research, insights, and analytics with outcomes.
- Develop and implement a technology-driven event maturity program, leveraging new technology to drive efficiencies, improve audience engagement, and enhance the overall effectiveness of events programs.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of high-quality events, ensuring exceptional execution, strong stakeholder engagement, and a seamless attendee experience.
- Implement robust post-event reviews to capture insight, utilising learnings and performance to optimise future events to deliver the best outcomes for the business and members.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in events to maintain a market-leading position.
This role is a permanent opportunity and based in Brisbane. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - You have a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- You've proven experience in developing high-performing and engaged teams.
- You bring extensive experience in events roles, minimum 5 years.
- You excel at managing internal stakeholders towards aligned objectives.
- You've managed budgets and possess strong commercial acumen.
- You're organised, self-managed, resourceful, and comfortable working with complexity.
- You're a seasoned marketing professional with a strong network, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of events marketing within a dynamic business environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Proficiency on event management software and tools (Cvent is a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
