About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. We’re looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our team at Australian Retirement Trust (ART) on a 12-month fixed-term basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining robust automated test solutions that support the verification of new products and our engineering processes. You’ll work as part of a squad across multiple projects, supporting the delivery of new value to our customers. Your day-to-day will involve designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts, writing and executing both automated and manual tests, and actively participating in defect resolution.
As a Software Quality Engineer, you’ll also play a key role in participating in code reviews and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support quality engineering practices. You’ll create and review detailed documentation for test solutions, capture and publish test automation metrics, and ensure traceability from test cases to documented requirements. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you’ll tick some of the following boxes too: - Demonstrated experience with software development using modern programming languages (C#, Java or TypeScript) in multiple environments.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
- Demonstrated experience with industry standard UI and API test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, UFT, Postman).
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab).
- Demonstrated experience assisting with designing and implementing automation processes.
- Willingness to upskill and mentor junior QA engineers in best-practice development and automation practices.
- Demonstrated experience assisting with the development of test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Able to communicate effectively with domain and team leadership, with the ability to translate technical information into engaging and meaningful information.
- Demonstrated experience identifying and raising risks and contribution to the development of mitigation strategies.
