About the role

Reporting to the Manager - Portfolio Planning and Performance, you will work closely with stakeholders in the business, the change community and the Portfolio team. You will be accountable for defining and sequencing achievable, strategically aligned initiatives that enable Australian Retirement Trust (ART) to deliver on our organisational goals and objectives. Stakeholder engagement and communications support will also be pivotal in this role to effectively communicate and cascade the Portfolio.

Day to day, you'll:

• Develop and manage frameworks in support of Portfolio Definition and Management.
• Ensure stakeholders understand the portfolio planning process, timelines and their role in delivering the work.
• Execute analysis of Initiative Briefs to understand contribution to strategic goals, value, achievability and risk profile as well as implementation requirements.
• Perform portfolio reviews to ensure the portfolio of work is achievable and optimised to deliver strategic outcomes.
• Support the sequencing of the portfolio based on strategic priorities and organisational and delivery constraints.
• Maintain and build out the portfolio pipeline.
• Create and improve tools to ensure project data is accurate and current.

• Project Management and/or Business Analysis qualifications or certifications, or equivalent work experience, aligning business and technology solutions with business strategies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies specific to early project establishment.
• Demonstrated high level skills in stakeholder management at all levels and developing trusted and enduring relationships with business clients.
• Highly developed research, analytical and evaluative skills.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and applying “through life” or “total cost of ownership” investment appraisal, tailored to the strategy and project context.
• Proven ability to quickly acquire expertise in business unit operations and processes, as well as an ability to understand ICT systems and capabilities.
• Demonstrated understanding of business systems and business processes and their interrelationships.
