About the role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As the General Manager – Digital, you’ll be accountable for the strategy, design, and performance of our owned digital channels. You’ll lead a high-performing team and collaborate across the enterprise to ensure seamless, aligned service delivery across all channels.

 

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Translating the broader Group Strategy into digital investments, roadmaps, and change programs that drive member outcomes.
  • Building and nurturing a mature design capability across digital product design.
  • Championing innovative, human-centred design practices and leading the AI and digital automation roadmap.
  • Ensuring digital products and related experiences are efficient, effective, and compliant with relevant standards and obligations.
  • Collaborating across non-digital and non-owned channels to align service delivery with enterprise goals.
  • Leading and inspiring teams to deliver on strategic objectives while fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation, including with your colleagues in enabling Technology and Transformation functions.
  • Overseeing risk management and budget alignment to support sustainable growth.

About you

You’re a strategic and people-focused leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. You bring a unique blend of digital expertise, commercial acumen, and a passion for creating exceptional experiences. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • You’ve led high-performing digital product, channel, or eCommerce teams at an executive level, and know how to inspire and mobilise talent around a shared vision.
  • You hold tertiary qualifications in marketing, digital technologies, business, or finance—and you apply that knowledge to drive innovation and measurable outcomes.
  • You’re known for your ability to challenge the status quo and lead disruptive change that delivers both commercial and customer value.
  • You have a deep understanding of digital ecosystems—from UX and CMS platforms to CRM, analytics, and emerging technologies—and how to use them to elevate member engagement.
  • You think strategically and act decisively, with a strong track record of leading enterprise-wide transformation and managing change with confidence.
  • You’ve built strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and you’re skilled at negotiating commercial terms that benefit the business.
  • You’re fluent in the language of data and technology, and you use it to inform decisions, manage risk, and future-proof digital infrastructure.
  • You’re passionate about understanding member needs and continuously improving their experience through thoughtful, data-driven design.
  • You foster a culture of innovation and agility—encouraging experimentation, embracing new ideas, and adapting quickly to market shifts.
  • You’re a trusted influencer across all levels of the organisation, including executive and board stakeholders, and you know how to bring people on the journey.
  • You bring strong financial literacy, with experience managing large budgets, forecasting, and aligning resources to strategic priorities.
  • You’ve led large, diverse teams and know how to build a culture that’s inclusive, high-performing, and aligned to enterprise goals.
