About the role As the Strategy, Commercial Performance & Governance Risk Manager you will provide first line risk leadership support to the Commercial Performance & Governance (CP&G) team (encompassing EPMO, Strategic Sourcing and Commercial Finance), and the Strategy team. Reporting into the General Manager - Commercial Performance and Governance, you will be responsible for embedding a strong risk culture and ensuring effective risk management practices are deployed that align to the ART Group Risk Management Framework (RMF) within CP&G and Strategy.
Day to day, you'll: - Develop and maintain the risk profile for CP&G and Strategy, including oversight of their Business Area Risk Registers.
- Ensure risk exposures remain within appetite and lead the development of mitigation plans where thresholds are exceeded.
- Embed risk management into strategic planning, procurement lifecycle, and financial forecasting, ensuring alignment with ART’s risk appetite and business objectives.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments across sourcing strategies, supplier engagements, strategic initiatives, and financial planning cycles.
- Partner with the relevant stakeholders to deliver risk reporting and insights to senior executives, committees, and the Board, with a focus on financial, strategic, and third-party risk.
- Manage the effective delivery of remediation actions and plans to address control gaps and improve the management of risks.
- Coordinate audit and assurance activities, including internal audits, regulatory reviews, and third-party assurance engagements.
- Ensure high-quality data and insights are used in risk reporting and decision-making.

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and controls, particularly in a transformational change environment.
- Knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with change management, project governance and business transformation principles.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence, particularly in complex organisational structures and transformation teams.
- Proven experience in a Line 1 risk management role, ideally within a Finance or Procurement environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk controls, assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in risk reporting, governance forums and risk monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of APRA Risk Management Prudential Standards, operational risk, compliance frameworks, and control assurance processes.
