About the role As a People Business Partner at Australian Retirement Trust, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and inclusion across your client group. You’ll work closely with business leaders to design and embed strategic initiatives, provide expert HR guidance, and coach leaders through change and transformation. This role offers the opportunity to influence organisational culture, support leadership capability, and contribute to enterprise-wide people initiatives. You’ll be part of a collaborative and dynamic People & Culture team, helping to create a seamless and impactful experience for our people. Day to day you'll: - Partner with business leaders to develop and embed people strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide expert HR guidance across performance management, talent development, organisation design, and reward.
- Use people metrics and data to deliver insights and recommend interventions that drive a high-performance culture.
- Coach leaders and managers to build capability and manage performance effectively and compliantly.
- Plan and prioritise people initiatives, ensuring they are embedded and operationalised within the business.
- Guide leaders on people matters, handing over to our case management team for management as required
- Provide informal leadership and coaching to the broader People & Culture team.
- Foster positive relationships with the FSU through effective issue management and collaborative consultation.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide people initiatives and cross-functional squads.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety responsibilities and organisational policies.

We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Business.
- Extensive experience in generalist and/or specialist HR roles
- Experience in supporting Technology or Consulting teams is desirable but not essential
- Strong knowledge and practical application of HR disciplines including organisation design, talent management, retention strategies, performance, reward, and employee relations.
- Proven ability to lead and coach stakeholders through organisational change and transformation.
- Demonstrated success in designing and delivering people interventions that drive business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience in project and change management; superannuation or financial services experience is a plus.
