About the role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team, supporting the effective implementation of risk and incident management practices across the Product & Services (P&S) division. This role is critical in ensuring alignment with the ART Group Risk Management Framework (RMF) and maintaining a strong risk culture.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Ensure adherence to the ART RMF and incident management policies, promoting clear understanding of risk roles and responsibilities within P&S.
  • Support alignment between business unit risk activities and enterprise risk appetite, including risk identification, analysis, and mitigation.
  • Lead the evaluation and remediation of risk issues, breaches, and incidents, including control improvements to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage Corporate Risk Scorecard metrics and oversee incident screening, root cause analysis, and resolution reviews.
  • Monitor compliance with legislation, standards, and audit requirements, and coordinate audit responses and documentation.
  • Provide risk and control advice for technology and process changes, projects, and initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between Group Risk, Compliance, and P&S, ensuring effective representation in forums and assurance programs.
  • Represent P&S in cross-functional incident resolution efforts and prepare high-quality incident documentation and briefings for senior leaders.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • A genuine passion for and interest in business improvement, compliance, incident management, internal control and risk management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively engage and develop positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including leaders, auditors and front-line staff.
  • An ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrated experience in determining, undertaking and tracking the progress of remediation actions and plans in order to address control gaps and improve the management of risks.
  • Proven ability to treat sensitive information in a private and confidential manner and to exercise tact and sound judgement in communicating with others regarding sensitive matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, documentation and management of compliance, risk and controls frameworks for service channels.
  • An ability to explain complex concepts and matters in writing and verbally in a manner which enables the audience to understand the key points and effectively conveys the intended message.
