About the role As a Test Analyst at Australian Retirement Trust, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customer communications are accurate, effective, and aligned with solution requirements. You’ll be responsible for creating and executing comprehensive test plans, primarily focused on the Capital Markets Trading Systems. Working closely with a collaborative, agile team, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high testing standards. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the member experience while supporting innovation and quality across our communications. Key aspects of the role include: - Create and execute comprehensive test plans for specialised systems, focusing on the Capital Markets Trading Systems.
- Plan, schedule, and manage the development and execution of test activities.
- Develop test artefacts such as test plans, conditions, scripts, and data, as well as test summary reports to support release management.
- Execute both positive and negative tests to ensure correspondence solutions meet all requirements.
- Adhere to Australian Retirement Trust’s test quality standards and contribute to enhancing team testing standards.
- Collaborate closely with Delivery Leads, Analyst Programmers, Business Analysts, and other team members to deliver and support solutions.
- Work effectively within an Agile team environment, embracing the team’s Agile Way of Working.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing testing processes and quality artefacts.
- Ensure all communications and solutions align with ART’s vision, strategy, and cultural aspirations.
- Perform any other duties as requested to support the team and organisational goals.

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity based in either Brisbane. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Demonstrated experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing.
- ISTQB certification or similar qualification in testing.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing detailed test plans, conditions, scripts, and data.
- Strong understanding of database structures and hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Onshore testing experience within Australia is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in financial services, with banking or investments testing experience highly regarded.
- Experience with Capital Markets Trading Systems (desirable).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment.
