Marketing Compliance Specialist
Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne

About the role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Marketing Compliance Specialist (known internally as a Disclosure Compliance Specialist), you’ll play an important role in making sure our marketing materials are clear, accurate and meet regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with our brand, marketing, legal and risk teams, reviewing broad range of collateral and customer facing documents whilst building strong foundations in financial services regulation.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or broaden their compliance career in a supportive, collaborative environment, with exposure to a wide range of documents and stakeholders. The role has significant exposure to regulatory change including practical implementation of new and changed regulation into the Members Line of Business.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Review and support the approval of marketing materials against relevant legislation, regulations and internal standards.
  • Support the review of key disclosure documents such as Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), annual statements and reports in line with ART’s Document Due Diligence Program.
  • Understand and support the application of relevant regulatory disclosures to collateral and documents.
  • Work collaboratively with brand, marketing, legal and external partners throughout the document development process.
  • Help maintain document version control, approval records and compliance registers.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and assist with implementing updates where required.
  • Provide practical, timely compliance input to brand, marketing and communications teams.
  • Contribute to the development of compliance guidelines, templates and approval processes.
  • Support compliance training and awareness for marketing and communications teams.

 

This role is a permanent opportunity.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • You have a tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or you’re currently working towards one.
  • You bring experience or exposure to compliance, legal, risk, governance, marketing or other regulated environments.
  • You’re interested in building your career in financial services, superannuation or consumer regulation.
  • You’ve reviewed documents for accuracy, consistency or compliance before (this could be in a variety of industries).
  • You’re comfortable interpreting legislation, policies or guidelines and explaining what they mean in clear, practical terms.
  • You have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with multiple documents and deadlines.
  • You’re keen to learn, ask questions and continue developing your technical compliance knowledge on the job.
