Regulatory Reporting Officer

About the role

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Regulatory Reporting Officer, you’ll support critical regulatory reporting obligations across the organisation.

 

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely regulatory reporting to bodies such as the ATO, ASIC, APRA and Centrelink. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, balancing competing deadlines while maintaining a strong focus on compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

 

Day to day, you'll:

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and within legislated timeframes
  • Support regulatory reporting obligations across Operations and the broader Group
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and clarify requirements
  • Monitor changes in regulatory obligations and update reporting processes accordingly
  • Maintain comprehensive records of regulatory submissions and correspondence
  • Identify, assess and mitigate regulatory reporting risks
  • Develop, implement and review controls to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Conduct audits and reviews of reporting processes
  • Provide advice, training and support to stakeholders on regulatory reporting requirements
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes, systems and efficiency
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment

This role is available as both a permanent and max term/ secondment opportunity.

 

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Strong knowledge of superannuation legislation, products and services
  • Proven ability to interpret legislation and provide practical guidance
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Ability to identify, assess and escalate risk in line with a risk management framework
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated stakeholder management experience
  • Strong time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities
  • Professional work ethic with the ability to adapt to change
  • A strong member‑centric mindset
