As a Senior Risk and Assurance Analyst within the Commercial Performance and Governance (CP&G) team, you will be responsible for delivering first‑line risk and assurance activities that support the uplift of risk maturity and alignment with the ART risk appetite. The role supports CP&G functions including EPMO, Project Finance, Strategic Sourcing and Commercial Finance, and works in close partnership with the Strategy team.
Day to day, you'll: - Design and deliver assurance frameworks, reviews and controls testing across strategic planning, procurement and financial forecasting, aligned to ART’s risk appetite.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments and deep dives across sourcing, suppliers, strategic initiatives and financial planning cycles.
- Support the design, implementation and ongoing management of the CP&G control assurance program, driving a strong and continuously improving control environment.
- Provide strategic guidance to control owners to enhance control effectiveness, meet regulatory obligations and strengthen risk mitigation.
- Deliver high‑impact risk insights and reporting to senior leaders, committees and the Board, with a focus on financial, strategic and third‑party risk.
- Lead incident, issue and audit coordination activities, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Line 1 and Line 2 Risk teams to uplift risk maturity and embed consistent risk management practices across the business.

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and controls.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk and compliance requirements, including regulatory and governance expectations.
- Familiarity with change management, project governance and business transformation principles.
- Strong experience embedding risk practices into all Line of Business activities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk controls, assessments and mitigation strategies.
- Experience in delivering complex risk reporting, governance forums and risk monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of APRA Risk Management Prudential Standards, operational risk, compliance frameworks, and control assurance processes.
