As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you’ll: - Lead and oversee application maintenance and support services, providing technical direction and guidance to the team.
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot enterprise applications to ensure high availability, reliability and performance.
- Drive and mature application support processes, documentation and service practices in line with SLAs and ITIL principles.
- Lead incident management activities, including prioritisation, investigation, escalation and post‑incident reviews.
- Manage application changes and releases end‑to‑end, including assessment, build, testing and deployment into live environments.
- Perform availability management and root cause analysis to improve system resilience and service outcomes.
- Provide specialist technical expertise, including installation, configuration and maintenance of application platforms and upgrades.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and vendors, contributing to team leadership, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives.

It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Demonstrated experience supporting complex enterprise applications across front‑ and back‑office environments.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles and structured application support practices.
- Proven ability to analyse complex technical issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Hands‑on experience with technologies such as Adobe Campaign Manager, SharePoint, Windows OS, IIS and certificate management.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, IT security principles, databases, integration middleware and load balancing technologies (e.g. F5, NetScaler).
- Experience leading incidents, changes and releases in a large or regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Leadership capability, including mentoring team members and managing vendor relationships to deliver strong service outcomes.
Experience in financial services or superannuation, people leadership, and ITIL certification (v3 or newer) will be highly regarded.
