About the role The Senior Manager, Technology Risk & Resilience plays a pivotal role in strengthening ART’s technology environment by leading second‑line oversight across technology, cyber, and enterprise resilience. You’ll shape and execute our technology risk strategy, uplift governance and controls, and ensure emerging risks are identified and addressed early. This role regularly engages senior stakeholders, delivering clear insights that support informed, risk‑aware decisions across the organisation. You’ll drive continuous improvement across technology, incident management, vulnerability management, and key regulatory obligations. Above all, you’ll help foster a proactive, collaborative risk culture that ensures ART continues to operate securely and confidently. Key aspects of the role include: - Drive the development and execution of ART’s second‑line Technology Risk Strategy.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology risk management framework.
- Provide expert oversight and challenge across technology risks, controls, and first‑line risk practices.
- Lead monitoring and oversight of incident management, penetration testing, ITSM, vulnerability management, and root cause analysis.
- Deliver independent risk insights and reporting to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Provide specialist guidance on technology risk, cyber, third‑party risk, data security and change initiatives.
- Support risk assessments for significant technology change programs and escalate key issues where appropriate.
- Lead and uplift control assessments across business units.
- Champion a strong, forward‑looking risk culture across the organisation.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne About you - Brings extensive experience (10+ years) in technology risk, cyber, and resilience roles within complex or highly regulated environments.
- Current certifications relevant to Information Technology and/or Cyber Security, such as CISA, CISSP or others is highly desired.
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and providing strong, well‑reasoned challenge in a second‑line capacity.
- Expert-level in technology risk frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements including CPS 234 and CPS 230.
- Expert-level knowledge of frameworks and standards relevant to risk management, technology, cyber security, project delivery and artificial intelligence (such as NIST, COBIT, Agile Voluntary AI Safety Standard, ISO).
- Experienced in uplift and oversight of incident management, vulnerability management, and enterprise resilience activities (BIA, BCP, disaster recovery).
- Skilled at translating complex technical and risk concepts into clear, actionable insights for executives and Boards.
- Thrives in fast‑paced, evolving environments with competing priorities and high organisational impact.
- Communicates with clarity and authority, building strong relationships across business and technology teams.
- Proactively identifies emerging risks, gaps, and opportunities to enhance organisational resilience.
- Demonstrates strong leadership capability and a passion for uplifting capability and driving an empowered risk culture.
