About the role

As Performance Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping how performance is experienced across Australian Retirement Trust. You’ll lead the activation and ongoing improvement of our performance framework and processes, helping leaders and teams have meaningful, high‑quality performance and development conversations. With a strong focus on change, enablement and adoption, you’ll bring performance processes to life in a way that feels simple, practical and genuinely value‑adding. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence culture, uplift leader capability and make a real impact across the organisation.

 

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading the activation and embedment of ART’s performance framework and performance management cycle
  • Owning end‑to‑end delivery of key performance moments, including goal setting, mid‑year reviews and end‑of‑year processes
  • Designing and delivering change, engagement and communication strategies to drive strong adoption and consistency
  • Uplifting leader capability to confidently lead performance, development and feedback conversations
  • Embedding a strong, organisation‑wide culture of continuous feedback and performance improvement
  • Translating performance principles into clear, practical tools, resources and guidance
  • Partnering with key stakeholders across People & Culture and the broader business
  • Creating targeted interventions to improve the quality and effectiveness of goal setting
  • Monitoring effectiveness, providing insights and reporting to support continuous improvement

This position is a 12 month fixed term contract for 3 days per week – based in Brisbane.

 

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • Strong experience in performance management, organisational development or people‑related change initiatives
  • Proven capability to lead change and drive adoption of frameworks, processes or new ways of working
  • Confidence partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders to influence, enable and uplift capability
  • A natural ability to translate complex frameworks into simple, practical and engaging tools and guidance A genuine passion for building a culture of continuous feedback, development and high performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to land messages effectively
  • Comfort using insights, data and feedback to continuously improve processes and experiences
  • A collaborative, outcomes‑focused mindset with the ability to work across diverse teams
  • Alignment with ART’s values of courage, empathy and excellence in how work is approached
