About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As the Senior Finance Business Partner – Commercial Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s commercial management uplift across the enterprise, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to enhance Performance and Partnering Operations. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the Commercial Excellence program through shaping business initiatives, conducting in depth analysis and providing recommendations, to drive value.
Day to day, you'll: - Work alongside the Commercial Performance and Partnering community to standardise and automate business processes, standardise data, ultimately providing the building blocks for advanced analytics and automation.
- Delve into financial data, identifying key trends and insights to inform decision-making, and support the provision of recommendations that drive cost excellence at ART.
- Manage the governance of the factbook that financial benefits and baselines will be derived from at ART, so that benefits can be tracked and realised in a well-documented and governed manner.
- Lead the design and the development of management insight related allocation tools (IT Cost Allocations), supporting the ongoing cost discipline of ART.
- Proactively identify and address reporting challenges, anticipating potential issues and implementing solutions to ensure smooth and accurate reporting in an automated manner.
This role is available as a 12-month opportunity initially. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Professional accounting qualifications such as Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA ANZ), Certified Practising Accounts Australia (CPA) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a role that provides critical and actionable expenditure insights into financial performance.
- Strong understanding of cost allocation processes and behaviours such processes drive.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, and influence at senior/executive management level.
- Proven experience in the preparation and presentation of financial and non-financial reports for senior/executive stakeholders.
- Experience working on cost efficiency programs.
- Advanced level Excel and Word skills.
- Python coding ability is desirable.
