About the role

As an AI Governance Analyst – Data and AI, you will support the design, implementation and ongoing operation of ART’s enterprise‑wide governance approach for artificial intelligence. Working closely with data, technology, digital and risk teams, you will help ensure ART’s use of data and AI is trustworthy, ethical, secure and compliant, while supporting the responsible delivery of innovative solutions.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the design, implementation and maintenance of ART’s AI governance framework, including policies, standards and controls for responsible AI
  • Helping embed governance requirements across the full AI lifecycle, from problem framing and data sourcing through to model deployment, monitoring and retirement
  • Supporting Federated AI Review (FAIR) activities to provide oversight and assurance over AI use cases across the organisation
  • Assisting with the review and alignment of AI governance policies and operating models with broader risk, privacy, data and technology frameworks
  • Partnering with Data Science, Engineering, Digital and Risk teams to help operationalise AI controls within analytics and MLOps processes
  • Supporting the development and application of standards for fairness, transparency, accountability and security in AI solutions, including bias detection and mitigation practices
  • Assisting with governance reporting, model reviews and assurance activities to support ongoing compliance and risk management
  • Contributing to governance forums and stakeholder engagement activities by preparing documentation and supporting executive‑level reporting

 

This role is a permanent opportunity. 

 

📍 Location: Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. 

 

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

  • Experience in privacy, data protection, AI governance or a related discipline, with exposure to analytics or AI‑enabled environments
  • Hands‑on experience supporting governance controls across the data or AI lifecycle, such as PIAs, model validation, monitoring or data quality processes
  • Knowledge of privacy legislation and regulatory obligations, with an interest in emerging AI‑specific regulation
  • An understanding of corporate risk management environments, including obligations, risks and controls frameworks
  • Exposure to data governance practices such as data stewardship, metadata, lineage and data quality management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams
  • The ability to interpret policy, regulatory or technical requirements and translate them into practical governance processes
  • A proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn, contribute ideas and continuously improve governance practices
