We are seeking an experienced senior risk professional to lead the delivery and embedding of ART Life’s most significant risk, regulatory, governance and accountability commitments. About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this role offers genuine visibility, influence and the opportunity to drive outcomes at Board and executive level. This fixed term senior, delivery‑focused leadership role is responsible for turning regulatory expectations and independent review outcomes into clear, executable and sustainable business change. You will act as the single coordination point for ART Life’s most material regulatory and governance programs—ensuring actions are risk‑based, well governed, delivered to closure and embedded into business‑as‑usual. In this role, you will: - Lead the implementation of recommendations arising from independent reviews, regulatory matters and Board‑endorsed commitments
- Translate findings and insights into prioritised delivery roadmaps with clear ownership, milestones and outcomes.
- Drive ART Life’s engagement on regulatory matters, prudential standards and supervisory outcomes, including subject matter expertise in CPS 230 and CPS 234 and CPS220.
- Lead ART Life’s Risk Transformation agenda, driving uplift in risk maturity, culture and capability to strengthen governance, support strategic execution and enhance member outcomes
- Enhance ART Life’s service provider risk management framework to strengthen oversight, accountability and assurance across critical and material service arrangements.
- Work closely with accountable persons to support FAR alignment, reasonable‑steps evidence and decision documentation
- Coordinate delivery across Legal, Risk, Operations, Technology, Claims and Group stakeholders
- Prepare clear, decision‑focused reporting for Executive Management, Board Committees and the Board
This role is a 15-month max-term/secondment opportunity. About you You’re a capable, self-motivated senior leader who thrives in complexity, bringing strong judgement, delivery discipline and the credibility to influence across organisational boundaries. We’re looking for: - Senior experience delivering complex regulatory, governance or accountability programs in regulated financial services
- Strong knowledge of APRA‑regulated environments and regulatory response expectations
- Proven ability to convert regulatory and independent review findings into executable delivery plans
- Experience engaging senior executives, accountable persons and Boards on high‑impact matters
- An adaptive, agile leadership style
- Demonstrated success driving outcomes where accountability is shared or contested
- Background in risk transformation, governance, regulatory transformation, legal or large‑scale remediation
- Financial services – superannuation and insurance experience required
