About the role

We’re seeking an accomplished Business Analysis Leader who has progressed their career delivering complex change and is now ready to step into a role with broader impact - shaping the quality, capability and consistency of Business Analysis across an organisation.

This is a rare opportunity to move beyond hands‑on project delivery and shape how Business Analysis is practised across a large, evolving organisation. Rather than being embedded in a single initiative, you’ll operate as a trusted advisor and capability leader—working alongside Business Analysts, delivery teams and senior stakeholders to lift the quality, consistency and impact of Business Analysis across major transformation initiatives.

You’ll bring the credibility of real delivery experience and use it to coach, guide and uplift others, ensuring Business Analysis consistently drives better outcomes at scale. This role is a permanent opportunity.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Partnering with Business Analysts and delivery teams to enhance the quality, consistency and impact of Business Analysis
  • Designing and evolving practical, fit-for-purpose frameworks, tools and standards that are actively used in delivery
  • Acting as a coach and trusted advisor, helping BAs navigate complexity, stakeholder dynamics and ambiguity
  • Building and maintaining a centralised toolkit of templates, guidance and proven approaches
  • Driving capability uplift through training, mentoring and hands-on coaching
  • Influencing senior stakeholders to ensure robust analysis informs decision-making and delivery outcomes
  • Monitoring adoption and effectiveness of BA practices, using insights to continuously refine and improve
  • Championing modern, pragmatic ways of working across the BA discipline

Why this role is different:

  • A specialist advisory and capability uplift role
  • Focused on enabling others to perform at their best
  • A standalone position with no direct reports, but broad influence
  • An opportunity for enterprise-wide impact across transformation initiatives

This role is not:

  • A traditional BA role embedded in a single project
  • A purely governance or compliance-driven function
  • A theoretical “best practice” role disconnected from delivery
  • A position focused on day-to-day detailed BA execution

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Lead BA, or BA Practice Lead within a Financial Services environment
  • A proven track record delivering business analysis within complex transformation programs
  • Experience in Superannuation, Wealth Management or broader Financial Services or similarly complex environments
  • Strong expertise across Business Analysis frameworks, tools and techniques

But more importantly, your approach is:

  • Pragmatic – you know what works in real-world delivery environments
  • Influential – you can guide and inspire without formal authority
  • Coaching-led – you’re motivated by developing others and growing capability
  • Credible – your experience earns trust; you’ve “been there and done it”
  • Outcome-focused – you care about impact, not just artefacts
  • You’re energised by lifting the capability of others and creating lasting impact—rather than owning delivery yourself
