About the role

As a Technical Lead, you’ll provide senior technical leadership across enterprise platforms, ensuring technology solutions align with Australian Retirement Trust’s business strategy and member outcomes. You will also:

• Lead the solution design for complex, large‑scale initiatives, balancing strategic architecture with hands‑on technical delivery.
• Partner closely with enterprise and solution architects to ensure designs comply with architectural standards, governance frameworks and long‑term platform roadmaps.
• Drive high‑quality, scalable and secure solutions across cloud and digital platforms, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure‑based architectures.
• Provide technical oversight and governance across modern application landscapes, including mobile, web and content management platforms such as Sitecore XM / XP.
• Evaluate design options, risks and impacts across interconnected systems, guiding sound technical decision‑
• Support agile delivery teams by producing clear design artefacts, enabling effective delivery through CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Mentor and coach engineers and technical specialists, fostering a culture of strong engineering discipline, innovation, stability and accountability.

About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:  

• Proven experience in a senior technical leadership or Technical Lead role, leading solution design in complex, enterprise‑scale environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, with hands‑on experience designing cloud‑native and scalable enterprise solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in React Native mobile development and modern front‑end application architectures.
• Deep experience with Sitecore CMS, including Sitecore XM and XP, ideally within a headless or composable architecture.
• Solid understanding of .NET and modern backend development, including REST APIs and microservices‑based architectures.
• Practical experience implementing Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to support high‑quality, automated delivery.
• Strong architectural thinking, with experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks and governance models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, mentor and collaborate effectively across technical and non‑technical audiences.
