About the role We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Technical Analyst, your technical expertise helps resolve complex superannuation and insurance matters that truly matter to members. In this role, you’ll research and analyse legislation, regulatory guidance and fund rules to deliver clear, accurate and timely advice on escalated enquiries and complaints. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, balancing risk, compliance and empathy to achieve fair and practical outcomes. You’ll also act as a subject matter expert, contributing to projects, incident resolution and continuous improvement initiatives, while upholding Australian Retirement Trust’s values of courage, empathy and excellence. Day to day, you'll: - Research legislation, regulatory guidance and fund rules to provide high‑quality technical advice
- Manage complex, escalated superannuation and insurance enquiries and complaints
- Apply critical thinking and an outcome‑focused approach while remaining sensitive to member needs
- Engage with internal stakeholders to communicate outcomes, insights and learnings
- Refer matters to Line 2 teams where appropriate, including ESG‑related enquiries
- Support scheme administration and contributing to projects and incident resolution as needed

You probably possess some of the following key attributes too; - Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building capability
- Working knowledge of superannuation, insurance or related legislation
- Proven ability to analyse complex issues and deliver balanced, practical solutions
- Experience supporting customers who may require additional care or assistance
- The ability to thrive in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment
- A relevant tertiary qualification or current studies
- Knowledge of APRA Superannuation Prudential Practice Guides SPG 270 (Contribution and Benefit Accrual Standards), SPG 280 (Payment Standards), and ASIC Regulatory Guides RG 271 (Internal Dispute Resolution) and RG 277 (Consumer Remediation).
