About the role As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a hands‑on role in how ART’s critical applications are built, deployed and supported. You’ll work closely with engineers, technical leads and release teams to deliver reliable, high‑quality deployments across cloud and on‑prem environments. You’ll be part of a cross‑functional Platform Engineering team, helping evolve ART’s DevOps and continuous delivery capability while supporting business‑critical services that members depend on. Day to day, you'll: - Build, improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple technology domains
- Support application deployment, integration and operational processes
- Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering and Release teams to uplift platform maturity
- Design and implement application and platform solutions for core business systems
- Monitor, optimise and right‑size application performance and capacity
- Embed test automation and quality standards into deployment pipelines
- Work within ITSM processes for change, incident and service transition
- Contribute to on‑call support and occasional out‑of‑hours work as required.
This role is a permanent opportunity. 📍 Location: Brisbane About you You’re an experienced DevOps professional who enjoys solving complex problems, improving delivery pipelines and working collaboratively across teams. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: - Experience supporting critical applications across Windows/Linux, on‑prem and cloud (AWS and/or Azure)
- Hands‑on CI/CD experience using tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity or Azure DevOps
- Experience with scripted deployment tools (e.g. Puppet, Octopus Deploy)
- Strong understanding of continuous delivery and DevOps practices
- Experience with PaaS, containers and orchestration technologies
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive mindset
- The ability to clearly document processes, approaches and releases
Nice to have: - Monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk)
- DevSecOps, ITIL or security certifications
- Security automation within CI/CD pipelines
- AWS certification
